Troubleshooting performance issues in Latitude
If the app feels slow or something isn't working as expected, it's usually quick to fix.

Most issues are temporary and related to your browser session or a page needing to refresh - not a deeper problem with your account.

Quick checklist (start here)

Try refreshing the page

  • Log out and back in
  • Close the tab and reopen Latitude
  • Try a different browser (Chrome recommended)
  • Check if the delay is happening during AI generation or saving

What "normal" performance looks like

Knowing what to expect can help you spot when something is actually off.

  • Page loads: typically 1-2 seconds
  • AI generation: usually 5-8 seconds
  • Scheduler/calendar: loads with the page
  • Strategy setup pages: may take up to 5-8 seconds when saving between steps

If you're seeing delays in these ranges, things are working as expected.

Where you might notice slight delays

There's one place where a short delay is normal:

Moving between content strategy steps

When you go through onboarding or update your strategy:

  • Latitude saves your inputs between steps
  • This can take 5-8 seconds

This is expected and ensures your content strategy is stored correctly.

Quick fixes that resolve most issues

If something feels off, try these in order:

Refresh the page

  • Log out and log back in
  • Close the tab and reopen Latitude
  • Try an incognito/private window
  • Switch browsers (Chrome, Safari, or Edge recommended)

These steps resolve the vast majority of issues.

Browser and device support

For the best experience:

  • Use Chrome, Safari, or Edge
  • Desktop is fully supported
  • Mobile devices may work, but aren't officially supported yet

If you're on mobile and something feels off, try switching to a desktop browser.

Session-related issues

Occasionally, your session can get out of sync, which may cause:

  • Pages not loading correctly
  • Actions not responding
  • Unexpected behavior

Logging out and back in will reset your session and usually fixes this immediately.

When to contact support

If the issue continues after trying the steps above, it's worth taking a closer look.

Reach out to support if:

  • Pages consistently take longer than expected
  • AI generation is timing out or not responding
  • Something feels broken, not just slow

One thing to keep in mind

Short delays during AI generation or saving are normal - especially when Latitude is doing work behind the scenes.

If something feels off, a quick refresh or session reset usually gets you right back on track.
